This is part of the series of little paintings I did while away in our bush and beach down time at the beginning of this year. There had been loads of rain and some pans had filled up behind the beach dunes and they were filled with water lilies. It was something we had never seen before, despite going there for 12 years. They were a magnificent sight and had to be painted.
